I am pretty sure that java can run on the platform and there is surely a native library available too on http://rxtx.qbang.org/pub/rxtx/ToyBox/2.1-7-build1/Linux/glibc-2.3.5/ for the serial connectivity.

I could not see bluetooth support in the specs though or USB master functionality.
