This doesn't work for me on my macBook Pro, with Holux M421. I execute BT747 Desktop (v1.61.3). It starts up fine, and looks great! I select "Bluetooth (for Mac)", speed 38400, and press "connect". No connection. The error message is
Info: trying to open /dev/cu.SLAB_USBtoUART
- gnu.io.NoSuchPortException.
It looks like it doesn't try the holux port /dev/tty.HOLUX_M-241-SPPSlave-1.
Is BT747 Desktop supposed to work with the Holux? bt747_macosX.command is working for me.
Thanks for any help.
Holux should work on all implementations.
Holux should work on all implementations. In the mobile version it is possible that I did not implement the 'forcing' yet for the log file decoder (a post download operation - not important for the download itself).
According to the code in the latest version (1.64.4), the holux port is tested in a similar way to the bt747_maxosX.command.
If the automatic search does not work (as seems to be the case for you), you can enter the port directly in the selection field (by hand : copy/paste or edit).
Did you see the port name in the pull down selection?
For bluetooth, the speed should not matter and you can leave it at 115k.
Thanks!
Thanks very much. It works now. I entered the device name (/dev/tty.HOLUX...) in the selection field to the right of the connect button, and it seems to work fine. I see it in the pulldown selection menu now. I'm not sure if it was there before, because I didn't scroll down. In fact, I don't think I even saw a scroll bar on the pulldown before, though I can't be sure.
Thanks again, for the help and for the great application.
