Surely this is the most unacceptably unprofessional hardware/software implementation ever? Forget PlugNPlay, this is an absolute nightmare. Installing the device drivers on Windows 7, the software simply installs the XP software and then it won't discover it in Device Manager - all of this before I even try to faff around with ascertaining which COM connection the USB/serial emulator is even going to try and use on BT747.
Life was supposed to get easier with technology - this is regression of the highest magnitude.

Hi
I agree that the installation process of the drivers can be better - getting the drivers from the transystem site might be better - I've installed the drivers on several Win7 systems and I get it right without an issue, but maybe that's because I probably installed them using the installer that I wrapped in a .NET version that I wrote for professional purposes.

Is that installer something you'd be prepared to share? I just cannot get it to install correctly on my system.

Hi
I've put the core installer that I use for it on this link: http://soft.bt747.org/MTK3329Driver.zip .
Hopefully it is not the one that you've been using - it's one that works for the MTKII chip.
In reality, this driver is using the native windows driver - it is just kind of saying that this USB chip is using that 'protocol'.
