iPhone File Transfer

Hi all,

I have a 747A+ GPS Trip recorder that I use to Geotag my photos. On some of my longer trips (weeks) the trip recorder fills up the number of data points and will stop logging. What I normally do is take a laptop with me and download and clear out the device every couple of days, but obviously this involves lugging a laptop with me which is not always convenient.

I have seen a few threads on iPhone / iPad apps that are being developed which is great and would gladly pay for one of these, but is there a way to just Bluetooth the data file (*.bin?) over to my iPhone (jailbroken) for storage. I could then SSH these to my PC, on my return, for conversion to GPX files and tagging.

Hopefully you can help.

Cheers

Hi The iPhone app is not

Hi

The iPhone app is not being developped at this moment - I am kind of looking for volunteers while trying to find possiblities to to make the app.

To get the files over bluetooth, the iPhone has to support the SPP (Serial Port Profile).  It does not 'publicly' support this and one has to jailbreak the phone and resort to some other library.

IMHO, currently the best approach to get this running is to use http://www.roqy-bluetooth.net/ and Cydia Java with the need to implement some bridge from Java to Roqy bluetooth (or find how to do it).

Hi there, I'd also love to

Hi there,

I'd also love to see a solution to this. At the moment I just use my iphone as a logger and take a bunch of external USB batteries, but I would absolutely love to be able to use my M-1000c and just transfer across the files (to dropbox!!) when the limited data logger memory gets full.

Cheers,

Treff

Meanwhile if you want to

Meanwhile if you want to transfer the files from iphone to another device then you have the solutions. You can either use the iTunes. If it is unable to transfer the files or folders that you want then you can send them to iCloud which is a very recent technology. With such technology you can easily perform file transfer iphone to another devices which is connected to the iCloud. You can know more about iCloud on the official website of Apple. http://www.apple.com/icloud

Other than that there are several other third party applications which are able to transfer iphone files within few seconds to few minutes. To do that you can use File Transfer iPhone software.

Regards,

Bella.

iPhones are the most desired

iPhones are the most desired device now a days. But the corruption and the damage issues are very common to it so the habit of  creating a regular backup will provide a great help in restoring the data. iTunes or iCloud (introduced with iPhone 4S) could be of great help in transfering the data. But if you are unfortunate enough then this may fails to transfer the data that can be done with the help of the advanced iPhone Transfer Software. This one is a perfect utility that will perform the transferring of the stored iPhone data with a great ease.

You can get more information about the software from : http://www.backupiphone4s.com/backup-iphone4s-without-itunes.php
