not possible to convert a raw log file

fgz's picture

Hallo everybody,

I just downloaded a new raw log file from my gps logger and while I want to convert the raw log file into 'Table in GUI' or a kmz file, e get only the error message 'No output files where created! ..'

But I hope I have some gps data in my raw log file. You can take a look into the file here:

www.goeldenitz.org/gps/BT747log2.bin.gz

I do not change the date filter, it is set to the default range from 01/01/1983 until today 08/16/2010.

Any suggestion what is going wrong?

Thank you for your help,

Regards Florian

Hi Florian

I converted your file without a  problem.

Did you check your filter settings - is the device type correct (set to default in my case)?

I got data on the 14th of August in Switzerland.

Hallo,

congratulations. i logged the data in switzerland

I checked my settings and the device type is also set to default. The timespan is set from 01/01/1983 until today (08/31/2010). It also doesn't metter to which format i try to convert the raw log file. I the shell there is only the output 'Conversion done' and on the GUI a get these error popup window.

I did not change any of the settings and suddenly i can not convert my raw log data. Something must have changed and I don't know what it is. I am using ubuntu 10.04 with java version 1.6.

Since you are working on

Since you are working on linux, you can find the settings file in your home directory as BT747SettingsJ2SE.pdb.

I suggest that you send me a copy (or attached one in this thread) and then rename the file.  BT747 will then revert to the default settings.

I'll have a look at your pdb file to see which setting is wrong (if any).

Hallo,

thank your for the information about the configuration file. I moved the file into another directory and started the bt474 software again. Yes, now I can convert the raw file without any problems.

How can i send you my old configuration file for further investigations.
