date and time on tagged photos

Is there any way to retain the origional date and time when you save the tagged pictures?

The changing of date and time messes up my filing system which is based on date and time.

‹ How exactly do I use BT747 to generate a GPX file for Google Earth? Can anyone recommend a setting for an airplane? ›

That is not currently possible - as far as I can remember I was confronted with a limitation of Java.  I would need to resort to native system tools.

 I am not looking into that again right now, but you might kindly remind me of that again later ;-).

Thanks for the reference.  I'll look into it - I guess that if it is cross-platform on 'desktops', that's already a good start.
