Problems connecting BT-Q1300S with HP Ipaq travel companion via bluetooth

Hi,

I got a BT-Q1300s and i want to use BT747 to download the log file because the memory is insufficient to log my entire vacation. I have been unable to establish a connection between my BT747 and the Q1300 using bluetooth. I have the following setup:

HP Travel Companion 5700 (PDA) with
- SuperWaba installed
- BT 747 installed (first i tried version 68.22, now i have 68.7 installed)
- PortSplitterSP

I use the bluetooth function to search for the logger, which appears as: Qstarz GPS: SPP slave
I make the bluetooth connection and the use PortSplitterSP to map the Bluetooth Serial Port to output Port com9 with baudrate of 115200 (i have also tried 38400)

I then open BT747 and try to connect to the logger using: Connection Port Nbr (on the Con tab) with port 9. The screen jumps to the log tab but nothing else seems to happen.

the DebugConsole file has the following information:

028461 opening 9@115200
028469 ok
092157 End

The gpsRawDebug does not contain any error messages.

I hope somebody can give me a tip before i go on holiday at the end of next week. Any help would be appreciated.

Peter

Problem solved.

I seems the answer was in the device all along. I looked at the advanced setting of the serial port for bluetooth and there the outgoing com port was defined as com5. I used that to connect and it worked right away (without the portsplitter).

Although unlikely, it seems i never got as far as port5 will testing the connection.
