Recently adding waypoints functionality ceased to work in the J2ME (mobile phone midlet) version.
The symptoms are as follows: I can use the app as usual; I start it and connect to the GPS device (Holux M-1000C). I have the RCR field selected for logging so I am presented with the waypoint type selection screen. I press '0' (for 'Took a picture'), I get visual confirmation that the waypoint was recorded (the menu label goes red and blue again). So far so good.
However, when I download the log the waypoints are not there anymore.
The funny thing is that is was working flawlessly until recently. I haven't changed anything in the configuration -- I've just been doing some trips last week and downloading the log each day. Also, nothing changed in the way that the midlet works (I still get visual conf and stuff). The only thing is that the waypoints are not there when I download the log.
Any ideas?
Are your filter settings
Are your filter settings correct? These waypoints are 'user' waypoints and that must be selected for the waypoint filter.
One way to check this is to write out youru log as a CSV file and check if you find a position with appropriate RCR/description. If it shows up there it is surely a waypoint filter problem.
Further, when you set a user position in the field, I believe that the led should blink as if you pressed the button to log a waypoint.

You sure are right here. No idea how it got deselected (I touch this tab very rarely).

Maybe, but not on Holux M-1000C -- it has neither a dedicated LED nor a button (I wish it had one!).
Thanks!
